Rock ‘N Ribs on the Square to benefit NC State Culinary Scholarship Fund

Get ready to fire up your tastebuds and crank up the tunes because Rock ‘N Ribs is sauntering back to the Square! This legendary barbecue and music festival is hittin’ downtown, and Gravity Ohio (that’s us!) is smokin’ hot to bring it back this summer.
Why the Comeback? We at Gravity Ohio, a local non-profit, love carrying on tasty traditions, and Rock ‘N Ribs was just too good to leave in the past. Plus, it lets us support future grill masters! Proceeds go to North Central State College’s culinary students, helping them hone their skills and become barbecue bosses.
What’s on the Menu?
Get ready for a finger-lickin’ good time! Four national rib vendors, including After Hours BBQ, Mojos, Old Town BBQ, and Swine BBQ, will be serving up their award-winning goodness. We’ll also have other food and drinks to quench your thirst, plus fun activities for the little ones.
Live Music & Good Vibes
No barbecue bash is complete without some rockin’ tunes! Nine local bands, including favorites like Jimi Vincent, Conne, and The British Invasion, will be taking the stage to keep the party pumpin’. On the mic, you’ll hear the awesome Tommy Barnes from Mix 106.1 WVNO and Dan Lew himself.
Mark Your Calendars!
The festivities kick off on Thursday, August 9th, from 4 pm to 10 pm, and continue Friday, August 10th (noon to 10 pm), and Saturday, August 11th (noon to 10 pm). Admission is just $5 at the gate, with students scoring FREE entry on Friday with a valid ID!
